Our Story
Creative Dance Academy a distinguished dance studio specializing in ballet
and modern/contemporary dance. Our studio is dedicated to nurturing dancers of all ages and levels, cultivating both technical excellence and artistic expression.
Guided by our philosophy of “Learn, Create, Perform” we provide a structured, supportive environment where students can develop their skills, explore creativity, and gain confidence through performance.

Guiding Your Dance Journey
With a dance journey that began at just 5 years old, Santie van Bijlon has built a career as a professional dancer, teacher, choreographer, and judge. She specialises in Ballet, Contemporary, Jazz, and Lyrical, with experience in Acro, Tap, and Ballroom.
As founder of Creative Dance Academy, Santie is passionate about nurturing dancers of all levels in a supportive, inclusive space.

What ages and levels do you teach?
We offer classes for students aged 5 and up, from beginners to advanced levels. Both male and female dancers are welcome, and programmes are structured so each student can progress at their own pace.
Do students participate in exams or performances?
Yes! Exams are compulsory for most classes, and students are encouraged to take part in studio productions and eisteddfods. Performance opportunities help build confidence, stage presence, and artistry, whether participating recreationally or in the competition team.
What should dancers wear to class?
